Whether you're a hobbyist, a professional looking to operate commercially as a sub-2kg pilot, or simply someone interested in exploring the world of drones, this course is perfect for you!

This workshop covers the fundamental theoretical and practical components you need to ensure safe flying in accordance with CASA regulations. Our comprehensive self-pace online materials includes crucial topics such as RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems) legislation, Basic Airspace Permissions, In flight Controls, emergencies and more. You’ll gain the knowledge necessary to understand the legal landscape and best practices for operating your drone responsibly.

Once completed you are set to join a half day of practical flight training at any of our RePL locations around the nation! During your training, our experienced trainers will guide you through both simple and complex manoeuvres, providing hands-on experience that builds confidence in your flying skills. You’ll learn how to properly care for your drone, ensuring its longevity and performance, as well as everything else you need to know to become a competent flyer.

You are welcome to bring your own drone however, if it doesn't meet the CASA standards then we will recommend you use ours on the day.
